US STATE DEPARTMENT ACKNOWLEDGES RESPONSIBILITY TO APPOINT ANTISEMITISM ENVOY

On March 15, 2017, The Jerusalem Post states how it is the U.S sectary of state job to appoint an envoy  to help fight antisemtism globally. Yet the State says that the White House officials have no intention to fill the post, despite pressure from Democrats, Republicans and Jewish community leaders to do so. “The Global Antisemitism Review Act of 2004 states that the envoy must monitor and combat antisemitism,” the official said. “The Act also states that the envoy must monitor and combat antisemitism monitors and combats acts of antisemitism and antisemitic incitement that occur in foreign countries. The envoy must also provide input on antisemitism issues for the annual country reports on Human Rights Practices and International Religious Freedom.” This legislation for the envoy was drafted by Republican Rep. Christopher Smith, who wants the Trump administration to fill the gap soon. On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, 167 members of Congress from both parties urged President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson to fill the position, while showing evidence from multiple cases abroad. What i don’t get is we are almost three full months in and no one has been appointed. Trump does all this talk about how he wants to stop the problem, yet hasn’t taken any action on the problem itself. When we have such a large amount of people from both parties that urge Trump to fill this position, i am unsure of why it hasn’t gotten filled yet. I am wondering if congress will do more to try and get Trump to fill this position.   http://www.jpost.com/Diaspora/State-Department-acknowledges-responsibility-to-appoint-envoy-on-antisemitism-484282 Wilner, Michael. “US State Department Acknowledges Responsibility to Appoint...

Surge of Antisemitism

The increase in antisemitic acts around the country should be a real wakeup call for the people who choose to ignore the recent trend.  Hate in America is ever evolving, it tends to go from one group of people to another as the times change. According to The Washington Post, acting New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has called the recent trend down right reprehensible.  Over the last few weeks there have been numerous attacks ranging from cemetery desecration to shots fired in a synagogue.  Personally, I did not hear anything about the gunshots in the synagogue, but it appears that the story is indeed true and the events occurred in the state of Missouri.  The FBI is investigating the event and the official statement is that they will provide updates once they know more.  The only way that the increase in antisemitism can be dealt with is if the leader of this country introduces a plan to fight and combat those who intend to harm the Jewish community.  Trump’s every evolving views on antisemitism only allow the offenders to continue offending.  The President is an icon for people to look up to, and currently Trump is playing the part of an idiot, so therefore, a select few of people are copying the President’s actions and are recking havoc against the Jewish people.  Antisemitic is not a role the people of this country should look up to, therefore it is up to the President to release a statement and set his views on the matter in stone. False Flags of Antisemitism

Recently, President Donald Trump has suggested that attacks against Jewish Community Centers and Jewish cemeteries may be the exact opposite of of antisemitism.  Instead, Trump suggests that the recent increase of actions against Jews may be a personal attack against himself.  I do not know how Trump has managed to make these specific cases a personal attack on himself, but once again the bullshit artist has succeed.  It is evident that the increase in antisemitic attacks is due to the free rain that Trump is providing to antisemites.  According to the Washington Post, President Trump believes that some of the antisemitic attackers may even be democrats trying to stir up trouble, which is absolutely ludicrous.  Trump’s beliefs on the matter are so childish that it sounds like a make believe game only a five year old would think up.  Not only should the people of this country be ashamed of these accusations, but most importantly someone on Trump’s team needs to inform their boss that he should be disgusted of himself for such accusations.  These string of antisemitic attacks will not be the end, so it is very important that Trump finds a better response to the attacks before the next one occurs because, next time, the democrats are responsible will not cut it.  The president is suppose to set an example for the country and if this is Trump’s version of an example, we should all make sure that our passports are up to date and ready to go. Anthony Scaramucci Hints at Democrats Being to Blame for JCC Bomb Threats

Close friend of President Trump and American entrepreneur/financier/author Anthony Scaramucci has come out with tweets recently that hint at Democrats being the true cause of the increased JCC bomb threats. An article posted by NBC News on March 1, 2017 at 2:16 am posted three of his tweets regarding the bomb threats. Scaramucci went to twitter to complain about how Democrats were infamously all too present as protestors during Donald Trump’s rallies before the election took place. Scaramucci’s tweet which sent readers up in arms read “Its not yet clear who the #JCC offenders are. Don’t forget @TheDemocrats efforts to incite violence at Trump rallies”. In this tweet, it is clear that the author is trying to link the fact that the bomb threats have caused an unsettling throughout the country and that the Democrats were known to do the same during Trump rallies. This tweet reads ridiculously. Scaramucci is trying to relate protests held by Democrats at Republican rallies to anti-semitic life threatening anonymous calls. Scaramucci has gone to twitter more than once in defense of Donald Trump and seemingly condemning those who would consider the President’s actions to be harmful. He has defended Trump and said that he cannot be blamed for the uptick in anti-semitism, which I agree with. Donald Trump is not being blamed by anyone for his direct actions against Jews, except for his outrageously disrespectful handling of a Jewish reporter. Donald Trump may not have incited the increase in anti-semitism directly, but one would have to be a fool to ignore the relationship between Trump’s actions regarding minorities and the increase in national...

Assault Against Jews is on the Rise in Europe

Is attacking a Jewish place of worship not anti-semitic? Why would the German court rule an attack on a synagogue to be anti-Israeli and not anti-Jewish? Why are university’s posting hate words against Jewish students? Anti-semitism continues to be on the rise in Europe, forcing Jews out of their countries. Antonio Tajani, the president of the European Parliament stated that there is no reason Jews should be forced off the continent. Unfortunately, as bold as this statement is, there is little truth to it. Anti-semitic incidents have increased greatly and many Europeans seem to be blind to this oppression, which raises a red flag. Back in 2014, there was a firebombing at a synagogue in Germany.  A German court decided that this was not an anti-semtisim attack, rather an anti-Israeli attack. The question of why Israeli embassy was not attacked had risen because there was no sufficient evidence to prove that these worshipers where even connected to Israel. I have similar concerns about this notion. The Germans, displaying several anti-Jews acts, seem to be stating that they are not against Jews; rather, they are against Israel. If they were not against the Jewish population, why would there be deliberate attacks against synagogues? Even students at Goldsmith’s University has been posting against the Jews on campus. The university has expressed disapproval against these actions, but this still deems campus unsafe for the Jewish students. Tajani saying that Jews do not have a right to be forced out of their countries is not enough. The mere statement has to have actions to follow, while getting the rest of the continent on board....

ANTI-SEMITIC NOTES LEFT AT HOMES, CHABAD IN OAK PARK (CA)

Several antisemitic notes were left on people’s homes and cars in Chabad, Ca, on February 11th. Although this was an antisemtic act, the notes were randomly placed and didn’t target Jewish residents specifically. Surveillance footage of the purpatrators was taken and at least four teens were responsible.   First, based on the fact that the people who did this, drew the swastika incorrectly, they probably aren’t seriously antisemitic. Rather, they probably did the act for attention. However, clearly they knew what the swastika symbolized because on one of the papers left it says “You’re gonna burn,” which would refer to the cremation of Jews in the holocaust. Teens do a lot of stupid things and I think this was one of those. To me the fact that they drew the swastika wrong and didn’t even target Jewish residents specifically, means there wasn’t too much thought or planning. Those responsible should be found and punished to ensure residents know future acts of antisemitism won’t be tolerated.   Even though there are no political ties to this act I think these teens responsible did it because of the recent trend and sentiment regarding racism in the U.S. As we see with recent political action targeting Muslim immigrants, racism towards other minorities has also arose. The fact that there has been a dramatic increase in hate crimes is strongly related to the example and lead of the current administration. With the introduction of presidential cabinet members into the U.S government that have ties to racist (Jeff Sessions, Steve Bannon, etc) groups and people, it’s no surprise Americans with and without racist beliefs feel that expressing racism...
